Abou Trika ‘Sympathy with Gaza’

Egypt’s Mohamed Abou Trika has been warned by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for displaying a slogan in support of Gaza at the African Nations Cup finals in Ghana.

Abou Trika lifted his strip to reveal a tee-shirt with the slogan ‘Sympathy with Gaza’ as he celebrated scoring in the 3-0 win over Sudan in Friday’s Group C match in Kumasi.

What is your opinion ?? please write in comments.

If the west always repeats that everyone has the right in "freedom of expression" and they protect anyone insulting Islam under this title, why couldn't Abou Trika be free to express himself. But what happens is that anyone who expresses an opinion that they do not like is named "extremist", "terrorist", "fascist", "anti-semitic" and so on. If the CAF and the FIFA are realy democratic the must apologize for giving a yellow card to Abou Trika.

Amazing! Now if everybody took such initiative as this great man did (and he got the yellow card for it!!), that would get more of the world's attention to the slow genocide that is being committed against Gaza's innocent civilian population. One activist group that I know (Int'l Socialist Organization) took the initiative to reproduce this shirt and wear it all over America. We can all do that; just imagine people all over the States wearing such shirts!

END THE GAZA SIEGE! FREE PALESTINE!
